HOW CAN I HELP?

There are plenty of opportunities to help Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park.

First, if you are not a member, join today. We depend on our membership to keep us going. Even if you don’t have the time or resources to help us in other ways, your membership is very important to us.

Take a look at our ongoing projects. We need help with everything from trail work to fundraising.

One example of our ongoing projects is the gardens around the Nature Center, including the new wildflower trail. Volunteers are always needed for helping with planting, weeding, labeling plants, and other maintenance activities. The gardens are all approved as a Master Gardener project for Master Gardener volunteer hours. The work can be done either during the day or in the evenings. If you're interested in helping or learning more, you can call 878-7184 for more information.

You can make a donation. Contributions for specific projects are always welcome, as are donations to our general fund to help with the expense of our day-to-day operations.

Check out our wish list of items needed to support the activities of the Nature Center and the work of our organization. In-kind donations of any of the items would be greatly appreciated.

Donate your time to assist with the many administrative, clerical, and fundraising tasks that need to be done to keep us going. We’d especially like to hear from you if you might be interested in serving on our Board of Directors or one of our committees.

If you’d like to help us in any of these or other ways, please let us hear from you. You can contact us by e-mail at mail@friendsofsteelecreek.org or by telephone at 423-989-5616.
