Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park (FSCNCP) is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to aid the Steele Creek Park Nature Center in reaching its defined mission of being a conservation center within the community of Bristol where land and people can be united for scientific, cultural, recreational and educational pursuits.

FSCNCP supports the following broad objectives:

  • To promote individual and family interests in Steele Creek Park, and in natural resources in general.

  • To develop educational programs and opportunities in cooperation with the park staff and other local groups.

  • To protect and manage the park's natural resources.

  • To coordinate fund raising efforts for the perpetuation and expansion of the Park, its Nature Center and related facilities.

  • To assist in the development and maintenance of park trails and facilities for the enjoyment of all.

  • To develop a volunteer program to supplement and support the work of the park staff.

  • To work with local, state, and federal agencies to evaluate natural resources problems, and solutions to those problems.
